5 Things I Do Every Fall

October is such a beautiful time to slow down, tune inward and give ourselves a little extra love.

As the air cools and gets drier, I shift my focus toward repair, deeper hydration and warming my body from the inside out.

1. I pull out my humidifier.
Once the heat goes on and the air starts getting drier, so does our skin. I sleep with a humidifier next to my bed to add moisture back into the air and help keep my skin from feeling dry and depleted. I love this humidifier because it's mold-free and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

2. I “sandwich” my skincare with Aura Beauty Mist.
This is one of my favorite tricks to keep my skin hydrated, plump and smooth. I mist before applying my oils and serums, then mist again afterward. Applying oils to damp skin helps lock in that moisture, and the final mist leaves my skin extra dewy and hydrated.

3. I step up my skin treatments.
Fall is when I start focusing more on repairing any visible signs from summer, and I just find myself wanting to be home more often. I’m more consistent with my Instant Glow Facial Mask, Magic Brightening Powder, at-home microneedling and gua sha.

4. I bring back the heat.
More baths. More infrared sauna. More wool socks. Doing things that truly bring heat to my bones, my core and my womb. I love soaking with Royal Codes Bath Soak. It’s as much about my nervous system and the overall ritual as it is about my skin health.

5. I warm myself from the inside out.
I naturally start craving warmer, more nourishing foods this time of year. I lean more into things like bone broth rich in collagen, mineral-rich herbal teas, soups and stews rather than as many cold or raw foods. There’s something about fall that makes me want to nourish, ground and warm my entire body, and I see the benefits in my skin.

To me, skincare has never been just about what I put on my face. Our skin is part of the whole. As the seasons change, I think our rituals should too.
